An excerpt from Stop Bucking: An Online Study Course from John Lyons Trainer Keith Hosman:

This document will discuss training concepts and I'll "assign" exercises designed to put an end to your horse's buck. The suggested readings will be short articles written by Josh Lyons (John's son) and myself, (Keith Hosman, a John Lyons Certified Trainer). The outside articles are free and located on Horsemanship101.com. I'll list where they can be found (and easily printed out) at the end of each article.

Like my other online study courses, the purpose of this document is to give you: a) a gameplan to deal with your problem horse and b) a deeper understanding of what's going on. A deeper understanding means quicker results, less frustration, a happier you - and a ton more safety.

There are many, many horse training exercises out there and part of the challenge you face is figuring out just which exercise is right, when to practice it - and just what you'll get out of it. That is the heart of this course: Beyond the theory, it'll sort of "hold your hand," discussing, then assigning specific exercises (in a particular order) that I believe offer the simplest, quickest route to fixing a horse that "can't be trusted to not buck."
For each of the next five days, I will walk you through a thought process. Each of those days will have at least one overriding concept that I'll need you to remember. When we get to those simple concepts, I will call them out - and I expect you to repeat them out loud, write them down - sing them if you have to - but to max your time spent, you must make a change - and this starts with the concepts I'll outline. Again, there will be one, overriding concept for you to digest daily. Get your yellow highlighter ready.
